Operator agreements that survive scrutiny

Ask whether the vendor may use your personal information for their own product improvement. If the answer is unclear, clarify it in writing before a large data set is uploaded.

Security expectations should match reality: MFA for admin accounts, encryption for data in transit, and a named channel for security notices. You do not need military language—you need enforceable habits.

Keep a register of operators with renewal dates. When a customer questionnaire asks for your processor list, the register becomes the answer instead of a frantic spreadsheet rebuild.
